how can wikis be used in the classroom or in education?

wikis can be used to find the main point of a topic things like what halloween is or what happend on 9/11

wikis can be used for finding information and researching for the main explanation of a topic. like if you need to do a reasearch report and you want to see the main point of the topic wikipedia will have it. wikis cannot be used for specific info because people edit and write what they think is correct when it isnt all the time so specific info shouldnt be taken from wikipedia

  if I could add in any class to the wood ridge curriculum it would be a culinary arts class. culinary arts is something that will be important in the future. culinary arts teaches you how to bake and make measurements. needing to know how to bake is something that is important to know. without knowing how to bake you wouldn't be able to feed yourself. it would also cost you a lot of money and you will eventually become unhealthy since you would have to go out and eat fast food all the time. if Wood-ridge adds a culinary arts class it should be close to the end of the day so the rest of your day fly's by. students would have to create multiple things like baked goods,pastas,dishes,etc. a culinary arts class is a good class to add because you can learn things you can use in your career in the future. if you wanna be a chef and you go to a college for that its good to have on your resume because they know you have some expirience in that catagory.

Oculus Rift

the Oculus rift is a gaming headset that makes you feel like you are in the actual game you are playing. you wear them around your eyes and there will be a screen that has you playing in a virtual world and every movement you make will be displayed on the screen. There is no release date mentioned yet but it will be sold for around $300.
